Alive Leisure and the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk are the administrators for Grand East Anglia Run and is registered as a data user and computer bureau under the Data Protection Act 1998.
The information we collect
Certain sections of this site request personal details that we retain on a database so that we can keep track of race entries and have contact details in the event of an emergency on race day.
The type of information we may collect about you includes:
- your name and address;
- your phone number and e-mail address;
- your gender and date of birth;
- whether or not you are a wheelchair user;
If you have entered a child/minor into our events we will hold details about the child/minor as well as the parent/guardian.
We will not collect or store any other sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

- to send you health and safety and other relevant information for the event you are participating in;

Any information that we collect about you is stored electronically on our entry database. We will not disclose your information to third parties apart from your e-mail address with the event photographers for the purposes of informing you about the availability of race photographs after the event.
We reserve the right to contact you in the future regarding future Grand East Anglia Run events. If you don’t want to be contacted we will provide you the facility of opting out when an email is sent.
We may use information tracking and gathering technologies that record and store information about users of the website automatically. This can include using a “cookie” which would be stored on your browser. This information does not identify you personally.
