The Bespak GEAR is an exact 10-kilometre road race (6.2 miles), accurately measured by the Association of UK Course Measurers (Ref 11/324). It is a one-lap, traffic-free course around King’s Lynn which takes in the town centre, the River Ouse pathway, the award-winning town centre park (The Walks) and a number of iconic, historical buildings such as the Red Mount, the Custom House and Greyfriars Tower.
The varied and picturesque course will be complemented with musicians and dancers to help you enjoy your run! Spectators always line the route to create a marvellous atmosphere.

It is a very flat course which encourages fast times. The course record at present stands at 30 minutes 18 seconds (set by Tadele Garamew in 2012).
Water Stations are provided at 5k, 7.5k and at the finish.
Medical Cover and Marshals
We have a full medical team in place in the Tuesday Market Place (Start/Finish) plus roving first-aid staff around the course. Please write all your details on the back of your race number so that medical staff have your information in case of emergency.
A team of 80 marshals is placed around the course. They are there to direct you, manage the spectators and attend to any safety matters. Their instructions are for your safety so please listen to what they have to say.
Road closures are in operation until 12.45pm. Anyone out on the course after this time continues at their own risk. For details of road closures, please visit our event information page.
